Cleaning refrigeration equipment and protecting your investment

Sunday, May 16th, 2010

If you have bought a bottle cooler in the past and replaced it you will know that when it’s removed it is normally full of grime, dust and dirt at the back of the unit and underneath. In the bar environment this is quite normal and will occur in the cleanest bars.

Back bar coolers lose their efficiency when they become full of dust and grime. Because of this units fail in trade and often are replaced earlier than is necessary. The dust on the fans and condenser causes the compressor to overwork to compensate and can cause excessive overheating, in extreme circumstances this will cause fans to jam, this in turn can cause icing in the unit and it will suffer from a reduced cooling ability.

Sensible cleaning is required of all units, we would suggest the following At least every 6 months:

  • Remove all contents from the unit bottles cans etc.
  • Pull the unit out so you can easy access the rear of the unit
  • Unplug the unit
  • Hoover, out all visible back area and reachable areas below the unit
  • Also take time to Clean out the inside of the unit which also for health and hygiene reasons should be done at a regular intervals
  • Plug the unit in and push back into position, and re-stock

By following the above instructions we are sure you will get better cooling results year after year and less need to early replacement. If you need any advice on cleaning our refrigeration products please call our help line and we will be happy to advise you.

UKCM Range Launch August 2009

Thursday, August 27th, 2009

Dear Customers

UKCM Range Launch August 2009

First, can I thank you all for your support since the launch of UK Cooler Market place. We have now been trading for over three years and the business has grown strongly!

It is always our policy to move with the market and ensure that we are able to meet our customers demands, it has become evident that we need to introduce a range of cabinets using R134A as the trade seems unready at this time to embrace the R600 technology, Although we believe this is a backward step we recognise that not having R134A is hampering our progress.

With the above in mind we have dropped the R600 Orca range from our stock lists and will now produce most of our units with R134a.

The new brand is called UKCM and this will be the badge on all new Fridges. The quality, performance and specifications will be identical, other than the savings normally made using hydrocarbons.

The UKCM range will launch from the 3rd August 2009. New brochures will be sent to you shortly and please contact me for any photos or information you may need for your web sites. Our web site should be running with new details within the next 14 days, so look out for that!

Furthermore, please keep up to date with our site, we will be adding blog posts and special deals for the autumn and the Xmas, to help you get the most from your 2009 trading periods.

We truly believe UKCM will be a great success! We can assure you of our best prices going forward and a service second to none!
